The Brandon Centre is currently advertising for the post of referral coordinator and participation lead. This is a key role in their service, as the Brandon Centre has a high level of self-referrals and participation has high priority in service development.
There are two main functions of the post: firstly, to manage the counselling and psychotherapy waiting list for the Brandon Centre’s Camden and Islington services and provide administrative support to the counselling and psychotherapy service. This includes taking and processing referrals from young people, parents and professionals and liaising with referrers and other services with support and direction from the clinical lead, keeping waiting lists up to date and general administrative tasks.
Secondly, the post holder will lead on the Centre’s service user participation work. In consultation with staff and users of the service, the post-holder will devise and manage a range of participatory activities so that the views of young people are heard at all levels of the service and contribute to service development. The post holder will work together with colleagues to develop this area of the service.
