As part of the ongoing service transformation that seeks to improve children and young people’s mental health services, Health Education England and NHS England are funding new therapy trainings for people working in child mental health services as part of the CYP IAPT programme.
The new therapy courses available are as follows:
- Counselling Certificate
- ASD &LD PG Diploma
- Under Fives PG Diploma
- Combination Therapy Certificate
We are now looking for expressions of interest for these new courses. The training is funded by HEE and there will be salary support available (see below for more details). Accessing the courses will require commitment from the applicant to the chosen therapy modality and support from the service into which the new therapeutic capacity will go.
Please note: details for the new courses are still being finalised but please check our training page for updates and information as it is released. Those that have made an expression of interest in the new courses will also receive updates as soon as they are available.
Applications will open shortly. The deadline for applications to the new courses is the 14th October.
We still have some training places available on the following CYP IAPT PG Diploma courses:
- Interpersonal Therapy for Adolescents with Depression (IPTA) – Very few places remaining
- Parent Training for Conduct Disorders
- Systemic Family Practice, Conduct Disorders, Depression and Self Harm (Please note: the Eating Disorders route will not be running)
The CBT course is now at capacity.
