The Quality Network for Community Eating Disorder services for Children and Young people (QNCC-ED) have produced a set of standards to provide guidance for Community Eating Disorder Services to establish best practice, increase quality of care and provide a national benchmarking framework.
“The standards comprise QNCC standards and Eating Disorder specific standards which help provide guidance for services who already have an established Community Eating disorder team or those who have recently developed their dedicated team… This document will help you get a sense of how the standards are constructed and what we encourage services to work towards.”
The standards have been developed in collaboration with Eating Disorder and CAMHS professionals, children, young people and commissioners, with significant input from NHS England and the CYP IAPT ED curriculum team. They incorporate national requirements and recommendations including the Eating Disorder Access and Waiting Time Standard and Core Standards for Community-Based Mental Health Services.
